About Us
Sandridgebury is a busy Riding School ideally situated on the edge of Heartwood Forest in Sandridge, St Albans. We are one of the oldest and longest established Riding Schools in Hertfordshire and have had the pleasure of teaching many people, of all ages, to ride and enjoy horses over the years.
We are privileged to be able to ride directly onto Heartwood Forest, owned and managed by The Woodland Trust. Our clients spend many hours on horse back, exploring the horse friendly paths and trails. A real world away from the husle and bustle of everyday life.
Our Horses
We have a range of horses to suit all levels of rider from complete beginner to advanced, children through to adults. Our horses are well schooled, responsive and safe.
We take pride in the health and welfare of our horses and are proud to say we are Council Registered and Approved. This involves a yearly inspection which we continually pass with flying colours!
Our facilities
With three well-maintained, securely fenced, safe, outdoor menages, there is plenty of space for you to come and enjoy your riding.
We have two standard sized 20m x 40m menages and our newest menage is double sized. This extra space is great for our group lessons and is where we hold many of our events.
We have a variety of poles and jumps which keeps are lessons varied and challenging.
